The Specialization in Applied Statistics is an academic program within the Faculty of Education of the Catholic University of Manizales - UCM. It is characterized by having a multidisciplinary approach to the application of statistics in different fields of knowledge and exercise of professions, through data processing and decision making. Its curricular design is framed within the University Educational Project (UCM, 2018a), whose characteristics favor the development of the person, the construction of citizenship, the advancement of science and technology, and significantly responds to the strategic direction of: inclusion, diversity and multiculturalism.
The Specialization can be accessed by professionals from different areas of knowledge, who wish to contribute from evidenced arguments and supported by data analysis to the making of transcendental decisions in their workplaces.
