The Specialization in Business Intelligence at UCM is the answer to the needs of the Colombian and global context around organizational development, strategic management supported by data and decision making based on facts and analysis of organizational behavior.
Aware of this need, UCM proposes this Specialization from different interdisciplinary fields to develop critical skills needed by professionals in this field of knowledge such as: business or business intelligence, design of information architectures, presentation (visualization) and (statistical) analysis of data to achieve strategic objectives, increase business competitiveness and support social development. All this supported with lectures, conferences and international professors, experiences in multinationals and exercises in other countries directly associated with the field of studies.
The Specialization in Business Intelligence allows you to acquire knowledge of data analytics, business management and BI design architectures. The organization of the academic activities focuses on the development and application of the essential knowledge of business intelligence, the application of different strategies such as case studies, such as Twitter, Netflix, to name a few, as well as proof of concepts and/or approaches to typical problems of these environments, among others.
At UCM you will delve into strategic management and measurement, architecture for data warehousing and Big Data, visualization techniques, and story telling, analysis and application of data in the development and promotion of companies.
Finally, as a specialist in Business Intelligence you will have the capabilities, knowledge, skills, techniques and tools to lead processes with the use of data to achieve strategic objectives, as well as to deploy and design BI ecosystems. Finally, UCM's comprehensive training will provide you with a human, ethical and social attitude in the approach to this field of knowledge.
