Schedule:
Each module has a duration of 24 hours, of which 12 hours are taught in a face-to-face meeting on Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; and the 12 virtual hours are held on Thursday and Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The Universidad Católica de Manizales reserves the right to open its Continuing Education programs, in case the number of applicants is not the number stipulated by the University to start.

Integrated management systems have become a useful tool for organizations, allowing them to design and organize their processes in such a way that their performance is at the forefront of excellence models, this is achieved if the organization adopts among its practices, strategic and operational plans based on quality standards, environment and health and safety of its workers.

General Objective

To know the concepts and tools for the design, implementation, implementation, maintenance and improvement of integrated HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment and Quality) management systems.

*Note: When Integrated Management Systems are mentioned, reference is made to the basic Quality (ISO 9001), Environmental (ISO 14001) and Occupational Health and Safety (OHSAS 18001) standards in their most recent versions.

Specific objectives

  • Interpret the requirements of the standard under the principles of the cycle.
  • Plan Do Check Act (PHVA).
  • Develop skills for the design, implementation, deployment, maintenance and improvement of an integrated HSEQ management system.
  • To know the requirements of the ISO19011:2002 standard for the development of Integral Audits in management systems.
  • Acquire skills and competencies for the planning, programming, execution and follow-up of comprehensive internal audits.

Discipline

Module 1: Combined Auditing Criteria

Understand the basic concepts and approach to Quality, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems based on the requirements of NTC ISO 9001:2015, NTC ISO 14001:2015 and NTC ISO 45001:2018.

Module 2: Models for Management Systems integration

Present the benefits of an IMS

To learn about different integration models

Formulate the necessary tools for the planning of the process approach in an IMS.

Module 3: Strategy and control in an IMS

Identify the standard requirements of the references under study.

Plan an integrated HSEQ management system in accordance with the guidelines of the technical standards under study.

Identify and assess, according to planned criteria, customer requirements, environmental aspects and hazards within an organization. Understand the guidelines to control the operation of an integrated management system.

Understand the planning, implementation and control of processes in a management system.

Module 4: Risk-based planning and conformity assessment

Understand the guidelines of risk-based thinking for an SG

Appropriate tools for risk assessment and treatment in an integrated management system.

Acquire the skills to plan and carry out the internal audit of the Integrated Management System.

Module 5: Evaluation, Management Review and Improvement of an IMS

Apply a methodology for planning the monitoring, measurement, analysis and evaluation of the IMS.

Identify, as a result of the application of the methodology, whether the expected results are being achieved.

Understand the purpose of the management review.

Understand the inputs and outputs required in an integrated system (HSEQ) to carry out the management review.

Know and develop the concepts of nonconformity, corrective, preventive, improvement and related actions.

To know a methodology for the management of corrective, preventive and improvement actions.

Apply the improvement path and tools determined to solve real and potential problems and for improvement opportunities.
