Presentation

The course is structured in topics that complement the practical development of knowledge related to the use of Geographic Information Systems, applied to Environmental Management and Natural Resources management in vector and raster environments. Its development provides theoretical and practical training in the application of basic visualization and selection tools, use of different data formats and spatial analysis.

Geographic Information Systems have become fundamental support tools for the planning, management and administration of environmental areas, providing information to decision makers in order to achieve sustainable development.
