Health sector professionals interested in learning about health auditing processes and acquiring theoretical and practical elements to strengthen their professional practice.

Presentation:

The course provides theoretical and practical elements related to auditing, taking into account UCM's pedagogical model and the teaching-learning processes that involve self-management, self-control and self-direction of knowledge, according to professional experiences and needs.

Syllabus

Discipline

Unit 1

Definitions and Regulations: This unit will review the concepts that define the audit process, approaches and types of audits. Also the regulations that govern it in Colombia.

Unit 2

Audit stages: Regardless of the type of audit to be carried out, the stages to be reviewed must be completed in their entirety. It is important to emphasize that they are independent and interdependent techniques, which allow to evidence the management of the beneficiary organizations or institutions.

Unit 3

Quality improvement and risk management: The Audit Program for Quality Improvement in Health (PAMEC) and the Integrated Risk Management Model (MIPG) are proposed, both of which are intended to facilitate the systemic management of organizations.

Unit 4

Human talent and auditing: This refers to the knowledge and experience that the auditor possesses and the personal characteristics that allow him/her to carry out the audit with the basic principles of any audit.

Unit 5

Billing and medical accounts: Strategies and methodologies for billing and medical account review, as a basic support for monitoring and control, for decision making and administrative management.
