The Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering sets its subject of study in the search of engineering solutions to the environmental problems, which affect the population’s quality of life, through development, technological intervention, control, and prevention when natural resources are being used by the society. The Environmental Engineering program of the Catholic University of Manizales, unique in the coffee region, is accredited as a high quality program because of its academic relevance in this region of the country, as well as for training competent environmental engineers. These professionals are characterized for being socially responsible and able to respond to the environmental problems of the country, for having qualified professors, for counting on integral resources that guarantee their proper training, for being considered skillful professionals, for their teamwork and adaptation abilities, among other important aspects that the National Council of Accreditation highlighted in their resolution 03974, which gave the program its status of accredited.
